Hidden Facebook Messages
When you generally check your Facebook Messages, you're only seeing conversations from bonafide friends. That isn't really every one of your messages. Facebook filters messages from people you aren't buddies with. Normally, this is good-- much of these messages are pure spam. Nonetheless, every once in a while, a genuine message from a not-yet-Facebook-friend ends up in this no guy's land.

How to find hidden messages on Facebook
To check for your covert messages, open up Facebook on the desktop. Then, touch the Messages symbol in the upper right. In the food selection that pops up below, you'll see that "Message Requests" is grayed out next to "Recent.".
Select Message Requests. Here are messages from Facebook users wanting to chat with you, but aren't yet your buddy. You can also tap "See Filtered Requests" at the bottom of this menu for possibly even more missed out on messages.
You can also access these messages from Facebook Carrier. In the app, go to Settings in the bottom right (it's the symbol that resembles a listing), then tap "People.".
Similarly to on the desktop computer, tap "Message Requests," then "Filtered Requests." This will certainly show you all the messages Facebook regarded unworthy of your time.
Once you know about this secret inbox, it's an excellent idea to examine it each month or more, simply to ensure nothing important slides with. I, sadly, did not heed this recommendations.
