How To Delete Messages Permanently From Facebook
Step 1. Click the "Messages" icon on your Facebook homepage. The Messages icon lies in the leading left corner as well as resembles 2 tiny overlapping speech bubbles.
Step 2. Click the conversation containing the message or messages you intend to erase. If it is not listed on the initial Messages pop-up home window, click "See All" to view all of your private messages. Click the discussion on that listing consisting of the message you intend to erase.
Step 3. Click the "Actions" button and afterwards click "Delete Messages" on the Activities drop-down menu.
Step 4. Click the check boxes located alongside the messages you wish to remove.
Click "Delete" and afterwards click "Delete Messages" to validate that you intend to delete the picked messages.
Pointer
To remove a whole conversation as opposed to specific messages, click "Delete Conversation" after clicking the Actions food selection in the third step.
Caution
Removing a private message in your Messages inbox does not delete it from the inbox of your conversation companion.
