How To Permanently Delete Messages On Facebook
Step 1. Click the "Messages" icon on your Facebook homepage. The Messages symbol lies in the leading left corner and also resembles two small overlapping speech bubbles.
Step 2. Click the discussion consisting of the message or messages you intend to delete. If it is not noted on the preliminary Messages pop-up home window, click "See All" to watch every one of your exclusive messages. Click the discussion on that particular listing including the message you want to remove.
Step 3. Click the "Actions" button and afterwards click "Delete Messages" on the Actions drop-down menu.
Step 4. Click the check boxes situated beside the messages you want to remove.
Click "Delete" and afterwards click "Delete Messages" to validate that you wish to remove the selected messages.
Tip
To erase a whole conversation instead of individual messages, click "Delete Conversation" after clicking the Actions menu in the third action.
Warning
Erasing a private message in your Messages inbox does not remove it from the inbox of your conversation companion.
